Fox Swibel Levin & Carroll LLP is strongly committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and proudly supports Mental Health Awareness Month during May, 2024.  Since its inception in 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has sought to spotlight mental health conditions that afflict so many individuals and their families, friends, workplaces and society at large.  As we know, legal professionals are not immune from mental health struggles and in fact the legal profession, as a stress-inducing and high-performance career path, faces challenges to address how professional life can be modified to reduce the triggers of stress and anxiety.  We must continue work to reduce the stigma of mental illness so that suffering individuals can feel more comfortable acknowledging their challenges and seeking assistance and professional help.  Moreover, law firm administrators in particular must be mindful of and sensitive to the mental health needs of firm lawyers and staff to create an atmosphere where all participants feel welcome and heard.  Our Firm takes this obligation very seriously and enthusiastically supports mental health awareness as part and parcel of our diversity, equity and inclusion goals.
