Emma’s practice focuses on energy, real estate, and community development transactions. Prior to joining the Firm, she represented developers and investors in low-income housing tax credit deals, with a concentration in real estate acquisitions, leasing, and financing at Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen. Emma also completed a two-year Equal Justice Works fellowship with the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, where she advanced initiatives related to urban agriculture, zoning, land use, water equity, and renewable energy. Emma earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, in Environmental Studies and International Affairs from Northeastern University in Boston.
