Rebecca A. Mickey is a partner in the firm’s Chambers-ranked Energy Law Group. She is a transactional attorney and energy industry advisor with more than 15 years of experience supporting the development and execution of complex infrastructure projects. Her practice focuses on renewable energy and construction-related transactions, where she advises clients on contract negotiation, land strategy, and risk management across the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects.

Rebecca brings a hybrid legal and business perspective shaped by her experience serving as both outside counsel and in-house advisor. She has led negotiations for EPC agreements, procurement contracts, and construction-related documentation, and regularly counsels clients on risk allocation, warranty structures, and project delivery considerations. Her work also includes land acquisition, commercial leasing, title diligence and curative, and permitting strategy, areas that are critical to project financeability and execution.

Prior to joining private practice, Rebecca held senior leadership roles with renewable energy developers, where she served as a primary legal and strategic advisor on multi-jurisdictional portfolios across the United States, Canada, and Australia. In these roles, she worked closely with development, finance, and construction teams to advance projects from early-stage planning through construction and operations.

Rebecca is known for her practical, solutions-oriented approach and her ability to manage complex, multi-party transactions while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
