Kerina I. Bowler
Kerina brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate law, land title, due diligence, and renewable energy development. Her practice focuses on advising clients on complex real estate and title matters involving utility-scale wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects, including site control, land acquisitions, title and survey review, mineral interests, and financing transactions.
“Kerina brings an exceptional depth of experience in real estate and title issues that are fundamental to successful energy development,” said Michael R. Strong, Co-Chair of Fox Swibel’s Energy Law Group. “Her understanding of the challenges developers face, combined with her practical approach to resolving complex land and title matters, will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our growing practice.”
Prior to joining Fox Swibel, Kerina served as Sr. Title Specialist in Land & Real Estate, with TransAlta Corporation and as Real Estate Title Manager with Innergex Renewable Development. In these roles, she supported renewable energy projects through land acquisition, title due diligence, curative work, and transactions involving project development and financing. Earlier in her career, she operated her own law practice, Bowler Law & Land Title, advising clients on real estate, title, and related legal matters.
“Kerina’s experience working directly with renewable energy developers gives her a valuable perspective on the legal and commercial considerations that drive these projects,” said Maria A. Bries, Co-Chair of the Energy Law Group. “Her expertise strengthens our ability to guide clients through the complexities of project development, particularly in navigating land rights, title issues, and the real estate components of energy transactions. We’re excited to welcome her to the team.”
Kerina earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.
Her addition further strengthens Fox Swibel’s Energy Law Group and its ability to provide comprehensive counsel to developers, investors, and other participants in the renewable energy industry.
