Joshua Epstein is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate & Securities and Banking & Corporate Finance Groups. Joshua has experience representing lending institutions, private equity sponsors and borrowers and public institutions in negotiating and drafting agreements and deliverables in various corporate and finance transactions. He concentrates his practice on private equity, securities, banking and finance and general corporate matters. Joshua has also assisted in criminal expungement cases and provided free legal aid to refugees and asylum seekers from countries such as Ukraine through his pro bono matters. Prior to joining Fox Swibel, Joshua was a debt finance associate in the Chicago offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Joshua received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2020, where he earned both the Law Alumni Endowed Scholarship and the Emilie Tavolieri Furda Scholarship for academic excellence. During law school, Joshua was President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, provided legal aid to small business owners as a Student Clinician in the Loyola University Chicago Business Law Clinic and was a contributor to the Loyola Consumer Law Review. He also received the Loyola Tax Law Certificate upon completion of his graduate studies.
Prior to entering law school, Joshua graduated with a B.B.A in Business Law and a minor in Sports Administration from the University of Miami in Florida in 2017. As an undergraduate, he was an active member of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity and worked as an intern for the office of Development & Annual Giving in the University of Miami Athletics Department.
