John focuses his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency, representing debtors, creditors, trustees, and other parties in complex cases. He has a proven track record in litigating fraudulent transfers and other bankruptcy-related claims, and in leading investigations on behalf of companies, trustees, and examiners, as well as extensive experience in civil litigation, including trials, appeals, and judgment enforcing proceedings. Drawing on his prior role as Chief Legal Counsel to the Michigan Attorney General, John also advises clients facing government investigations and civil suits.
John received his B.A., with honors, from Michigan State University and received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was Notes Editor of the Michigan Law Review.
