Matt has amassed broad-based litigation experience in a wide variety of subject matters. Matt has considerable experience litigating business disputes involving breach of contract, breach of restrictive covenants, breach of fiduciary duties, commercial lease disputes, and securities fraud, as well as cases involving antitrust claims, Lanham Act claims, and claims under the federal RICO statute. Matt also has extensive trial experience in both state and federal court, as well as private arbitrations. Matt has taken and defended numerous depositions, drafted critical motions, briefs, and pleadings in federal and state court, and has orally argued dispositive motions. Matt graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. In addition, Matt served as a law clerk for the Honorable William J. Bauer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He joins Fox Swibel from Freeborn & Peters LLP (now Smith Gambrell & Russell LLP).
