Corporate & Securities Group Expands With Three New Attorneys

Fox Swibel Levin & Carroll LLP is pleased to announce that partners Richard S. Meller and Hays C. Ellisen, and associate Scott A. Schonfeld, have joined the Firm’s Corporate & Securities Group.

Richard S. Meller concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities matters, corporate governance, joint ventures, and emerging company representation. Rick’s experience includes advising clients in a wide variety of industries, such as energy, hospitality, gaming and leisure, and retail and consumer products. He also advises clients on corporate reorganizations and restructurings, both in and out of bankruptcy. Rick received an A.B. from Brown University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to joining Fox Swibel, Rick was a partner at Lathan & Watkins, LLP.

Hays C. Ellisen focuses his practice on complex corporate transactions, fund formation and investment management. He has extensive experience representing public and private corporations, investment firms, investment managers, emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs in a wide range of corporate, securities, finance and regulatory matters. Hays received a B.S. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Previously, Hays practiced at Katten Muchin Rosenman, LLP and Sidley Austin, LLP before founding a boutique transactional law firm in New York City.

Scott A. Schonfeld concentrates his practice on corporate and securities law and real estate law. He has experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing in connection with retail, office, industrial, residential, hospitality and health care facilities and properties. Scott received a B.S. with honors from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to joining Fox Swibel, Scott was an associate in the Chicago office of Pircher, Nichols & Meeks.
