2016 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

We are pleased to announce that partners Margaret Anderson, Steven Brenneman, Martin Carroll, Jill Coleman, Neville Reid, Stephanie Shellenback, and Lawrence Swibel have been selected to the 2016 Illinois Super Lawyer list. The selections for this list are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal Division. Their selections were published in Chicago Magazine and were based on a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a “blue ribbon” commission of leading attorneys in Illinois, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

Additionally, Erik Ives, Nada Litwin, Ryan Schultz, and Brian Wilson have been selected to the 2016 Illinois Rising Star, a list published by Super Lawyers. Rising Stars uses a patented multiphase selection process which includes peer nominations and evaluations combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys who have been selected to the list of Illinois Rising Stars make up 2.5 percent of lawyers in Illinois who have been in practice for less than ten years. These selections are made on an annual basis.
