Roger Harris is counsel to the Firm practicing in the areas of commercial and business litigation. Roger has a wide range of litigation experience in the areas of securities, accounting, financial services, insurance, class action, consumer fraud, trade regulation, construction, real estate, and a broad variety of contract disputes. He has extensive trial, appellate, and alternative dispute resolution experience.
Roger has served as chair of committees and sections of the Chicago Bar Association on Federal Civil Procedure and Civil Practice and has also served on committees on Judicial Evaluation and operation of the Circuit Court. He has spoken on various Chicago Bar Association programs on civil practice and procedure topics.
Roger received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Michigan where he served as an Associate Editor of the University of Michigan Law Review. Prior to joining Fox Swibel, Roger was a partner at Altheimer & Gray.
- Kaufman v. Barbiero, 2013 IL App(1st) 132068. Established Illinois jurisdiction over hundreds of non-Illinois beneficiaries of trust administered in Illinois
- Dady v. Healy, 407 Ill. App.3d 1191 (2nd Dist. 2011[Rule 23(e)]). Established application of employment-at-will principle and right to terminate employment without cause of one-third shareholder-officer-director over claim of shareholder oppression.

In 2007, Roger was selected to the list of Illinois Super Lawyers. His selection was published in Chicago Magazine. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of lawyers in Illinois are selected for inclusion to the Illinois Super Lawyers list, and are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
Roger has also been named a Leading Lawyer in commercial litigation by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company since 2004. Only lawyers who are most often recommended by their peers in the statewide surveys are included in Leading Lawyers Magazine.
