Daniel Dorfman Joins Fox Swibel as Chair of Construction Law Practice
We are pleased to announce the addition of partner Daniel Dorfman who joins us as the Chair of the Firm’s new Construction Law Practice. The addition of Dan and of a dedicated construction law practice reflects our ongoing commitment to providing enhanced, specialized services to better meet our local, regional and nationwide clients’ needs.
Daniel Dorfman, formerly a partner at Harris Winnick Harris LLP, is an AV Preeminent® construction lawyer and also recognized by Leading Lawyers as an Emerging Lawyer in Construction Law in Illinois. Daniel brings more than a decade of experience representing owners, developers, architects, engineers, designers, general contractors, subcontractors, specialty trades, and construction suppliers in all types of contractual, transactional and litigation matters nationwide. Daniel is also a LEED® Green Associate with a focus in sustainable construction and in the renewable energy markets.
Daniel is a frequent guest lecturer on the subject of construction law at academic institutions such as Chicago-Kent College of Law, J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Illinois Institute of Technology School of Architecture, and Northwestern School of Law. In addition, Daniel routinely lectures at publicly and privately held companies and prominent trade organizations on a variety of legal issues affecting the construction industry.
Daniel received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law. Daniel is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
