7th Circuit Court Says FedEx’s Workers’ Comp Policy Absolutely Improper
Terminating an employee because he pursued a workers’ compensation claim is improper and may spawn a common-law claim for retaliatory discharge. A recent federal district court decision says even the slightest impingement on an employee’s right to pursue remedies under the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act (IWCA) may support such a claim.
